Dr. Timothy Jones - Coordinator
Dr. Timothy A. Jones is currently serving as Lecturer in Percussion Studies in the Music Department of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). Tim earned his Associate Diploma and Bachelor of Music degrees in Jazz Studies from the University of Adelaide, South Australia, and his Masters and Doctorate degrees in Percussion from UNLV. He is Vice President of the Nevada chapter of the Percussive Arts Society and artist faculty member and coordinator of the LVMF Percussion Institute. As a professional percussionist, Tim has toured and performed extensively in Australia, Europe, the United Kingdom and the United States. He has worked as a section percussionist with the Las Vegas Philharmonic and has done extensive free-lancing in Las Vegas since 1997.
