The 2007 Las Vegas Music Festival will take place from July 27 until August 12, 2007

Programs

All programs include Private Lessons, Coachings, Masterclasses, Seminars, and Performances Instrumental Program: Studies in Orchestral, Chamber, and Solo Repertoire with numerous performances. Piano Institute: Lessons, Masterclasses, Seminars, Recitals, and Chamber Music Two openings exist for conducting students.

Location

Hosted on the beautiful campus of the University of Nevada Las Vegas in the recently opened Beam Music Center. Performances held on campus and throughout the City of Las Vegas.

SCHOLARSHIP CONSIDERATION WILL BE BASED BOTH ON:

  1. THE QUALITY OF THE PERFORMANCE ON TAPE
  2. THE DIFFICULTY OF THE MATERIAL PERFORMED

Early applications will receive scholarship preference.

Audition Tape

  • Two contrasting solo works (one lyrical, one technical)
  • Technical works should be of a substantial nature either an advanced etude, sonata, or concerto.
  • Lyrical works may be second movements of sonatas or concertos or other.
  • Two Orchestral Excerpts from the standard repertoire
  • Students wishing to compete for preferred scholarship consideration should submit subtantial excerpts especially ones from the 2006 repertoire list if applicable.
  • Alumni Need Not Send a Tape only an application
  • Students Applying on Written Recommendation of LVMF Faculty Need Not Send a Tape
